Strictly Bantry Final will be rescheduled

6th class boys with Young Offenders actress, Demi Isaac Ovawie

The Westlodge Hotel, Bantry was the location for a jam packed audience to enjoy the Strictly Come Dancing Bantry Semi Final on March 7.  The dancers put on a spectacular show and the atmosphere was electric.

During the show 6th class pupils of St. Finbarr’s Boys’ National School Bantry performed an uplifting and emotional dance to Meghan Trainor’s ‘Run like the River’, receiving a well deserved standing ovation. Their message was clear, ‘IT’S IMPORTANT TO TALK TO SOMEONE YOU TRUST’, raising awareness for the great work that Pieta House do. A video of the boys performance can be viewed on Strictly Come Dancing Bantry’s facebook page or PLANtastic Events Twitter page @PLANtasticSM.

Everbody involved was geared up for the final, which was due to happen on March 14, however in light of the restrictions in place, the Final of Strictly Bantry has been postponed until a further date.

The organisers thank everyone who has supported the dancers in helping to fundraise for St. Finbarr’s BNS and Pieta House. Purchased final tickets will be valid for the rescheduled date.  The show will go on but at a later date.
