The Signpost Series – ‘Pointing the way to a low emissions agriculture’

The first in a series of Greenhouse Gas Webinars aimed at professionals working in Irish agriculture will commence tomorrow, Friday, 3 April at 9.30am.This webinar series, The Signpost Series – ‘Pointing the way to a low emissions agriculture’ is organised through the Teagasc ConnectEd service, with the support of the National Rural Network, Dairy Sustainability Ireland and Food Drink Ireland Skillsnet.

Greenhouse Gases – Why all the fuss? is the topic  to be addressed by Philip O’ Brien from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in this first one hour webinar. A questions and answers session moderated by Mark Gibson, Teagasc ConnectEd will follow the presentation. 

Pat Murphy, Head of the Teagasc Environment Knowledge Transfer Department, said: “We completed two face to face training sessions for rural professionals in December and February, outlining the steps that agriculture can take to address the GHG and ammonia challenges. Given the current restrictions we are now offering this training though free webinars as part of the The Signpost Series – ‘Pointing the way to a low emissions agriculture’. All are welcome to login.
