One of Ireland’s best small music festivals, The Baltimore Fiddle Fair (May 9–12, 2019), has built a loyal following of music fans from all over the world who return to the beautiful seaside village year after year. They do so to sample the unique delights of this remarkable little festival that consistently features a world-class line-up of national and international acts, and once again they present a line-up that truly is amazing.
International acts include incredible Danish group Dreamers’ Circus, sensational Canadian fiddle foursome The Fretless, irresistible Quebec trio De Temps Antan and innovative Swedish artist Lena Jonsson.
From Scotland there’s fiery female 4-piece The Poozies and Adam Sutherland & Marc Clement, who’ll be hosting the first ever live Fiddle Fair podcast, and from Italy the Irish/American duo Christy Leahy & Athena Tergis.
Top class Irish acts include the legendary Dubliner John Sheahan with Colm Mac Con Iomaire, Clare duo Siobhán Peoples & Murty Ryan, Sliabh Luachra Musician-in-Residence Eoin O’Sullivan, Roscommon duo John Wynne & John McEvoy, Cork supergroup The Céilí All Stars, and innovative young masters Liam O’Connor & Cormac Begley.
These intimate concerts will be held in unique venues across Baltimore, including garden amphitheatres, small churches and cosy marquees, and all in one of the most stunning festival settings on the planet. The Baltimore Fiddle Fair will also include a host of additional events including top class workshops, exhibitions, boat trips, walks, talks and a plethora of great sessions in and around the village.
